1. Planning Unit Manager (Senior Civil Engineer)

Based within Planning and Design division, for a fixed term contract of 12 months (extended term pending funding availability). We are looking for qualified and experienced professional in this senior position.  A qualified Civil Engineer responsible for managing staff within the Planning Unit, to lead the strategic planning and design of infrastructure projects within the Cook Islands.  Must have a Bachelor of Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience working on the planning and development of infrastructure projects. Technical skills and experiences in project design and documentation, project management, project financing and working in the pacific will be valuable to the successful applicant. 

2. CAD Technician position

This is a position within the Planning and Design division, responsible for the preparation technical designs and drawings and providing assistance and support with surveying work, technical investigations and asset management. We are looking for someone with experience in CAD drafting or similar role utilising CAD Software (AutoCAD and/or 12D)

3 Policy Advisor

Based in Corporate Services for a fixed term contract of 12 months.  There is potential to extend this contract pending on funding availability. We are looking for a person with good academic background and a can do attitude qualified in policy or strategic planning or related fields. Experience in policy and strategy development will be a distinct advantage. This position is responsible for the ongoing development of policy documents (including strategies and master plans) for ICI and to undertake monitoring and evaluation of current policies. 

 4 Senior Electrical Inspector

Based in Regulatory Services, for a fixed term contract of 12 months.  There is potential to extend this contract pending on funding availability. We are looking for a person with the relevant qualifications & experience, preferably holding a current Cook Islands or New Zealand practicing license, together with at least a minimum of three (3) years demonstrated and relevant work experience. The successful applicant will report directly to the Chief Electrical Inspector and must be readily available to visit the Pa Enua to undertake inspectorate duties.
