Infrastructure Cook Islands (ICI) invites applications for the following positions. We are looking for highly qualified, with proven experience and motivated staff with a can do attitude to fill these roles within the Ministry:

  1. 1.    Procurement Specialist:

This position is responsible for supporting the procurement team with policy and procedural development and implementation. Providing tender development and administration and preparing procurement analysis and management reporting.  The position will be required to address the business improvement process of the whole ministry and to carry out market analysis to set up business like operations for waste management and road works functions of the ministry.

  1. 2.    Policy Advisor:

This position is responsible for the development and completion of policy documents for ICI and to undertake regular monitoring and evaluation of existing policies. Tertiary qualification is a must with good communication skills in both oral and written, Cook Islands Maori and English. Some understanding of the national policy guidelines is an advantage.     

  1. 3.    Director of Waste Management

This is a senior management position responsible for the overall management of the division to ensure a timely delivery of key deliverables. Must contribute to the strategic direction of the ministry. Tertiary qualification is a must with at least 5 years’ experience in a leadership and management role. Must have good communication skills both oral and written, Cook Islands Maori and English.

  1. 4.    Waste Administrator:

This position would be suitable for a school leaver. You will be required to have a pleasant manner as you will be required to meet and greet visitors and answer the telephone. Basic financial knowledge (receipting and recording) and Microsoft office skills. Must have a can do attitude and passion for waste management. This would also suit someone wanting to further their education in this field.

  1. 5.    Pa Enua Civil Engineer:

This is a specialised position for a qualified civil engineer responsible for managing and the implementation of infrastructure projects in the Pa Enua. A Bachelor of Civil Engineering with proven experiences of over 5 years is a must. Familiarity with the life and conditions of the Pa Enua is an advantage. Good communication skills both written and oral, in Cook Islands Maori and English.  An applicant with project management, contract administration, construction management and project financing skills would be an advantage.

Labourers Wanted:

In addition to the above technical and specialised positions we are also looking for labourers with the willingness to learn and with a can do attitude. Suit physically fit young people (male or female) to join our roads and drainage crew and also our waste management crew in sorting recyclables and other duties.
