Water, Waste & Sanitation (WATSAN)
WATSAN is the Water, Waste and Sanitation Division of Infrastructure Cook Islands (ICI) tasked with the development and management of policies, strategies, planning and projects within the water, waste and sanitation sector.
Currently WATSAN is responsible for:
1) Maintenance of the Rarotonga water network and intake catchments;
2) The management of the Rarotonga Waste Facility (RWF) consisting of the Resource Recovery Centre, sewage treatment ponds and irrigation field and the landfill;
3) Project management. Currently WATSAN houses a new GEF Pacific Ridge to Reef Project.
